11.11 – Cool Wave Capital Considered Some of the Most Pressing Issues Hindering Mass Adoption
The question of how to invigorate the EOS community is a complex one. Maybe it’s because of the great diversity and potential for unique application. Cool Wave Capital believes that practical steps can be employed if developers, investors and users needs can be effectively targeted. Coordinating interoperability is seen among the most pressing issues. On-boarding, UX, compliance, effective governance balanced with efficiency, supportive development, and being prepared for the many (often unpredictable) nuances of rapid growth. In its conclusion, Cool Wave Capital also highlighted the importance for faith. It’s a call that is justified based on the active history of the chain.
11.11 – BlockBase Adds an Interface and Improves Management Tools
BlockBase achieved stability in its network of sidechains. This allows the team to focus improving developer tools as well as resources for organizations. Usability in the platform was key before BlockBase could move forward. It boasts out-of-the-box sidechain functionality. Among the tools the team thought an imperative to advance the network includes an External Command Line Interface that integrates with nodes and improves management. Simplification of its querying language was also discussed.
11.10 – Factor Fee-based Resources Thanks to Greymass
The team at Greymass unveiled a fee-based prototype that can unblock EOS resources. Any dapp would be capable of incorporating this feature without much effort. The Greymass fee model expects to benefit from the NRM. While it currently uses REX, it is an independent function. It was not easy getting to this point, is the reason give as to why this was not implement sooner. For an illustration and commentary about fee-based resources, view Colin Talks Crypto November 12 video at [07:36]
11.10 – How dfuse’s New Migration Tools Can Support EOSIO Enterprise Development
Migration Tools by dfuse makes life easier for developers. This comes at the right time for EOSIO as it introduces Enterprise features. Within the content at the link provided, dfuse provides an example of how easy it is to “boot a fully functioning EOSIO distributed database”. Some of the features mentioned include accelerating contract development, booting new chains, tailoring history without interruptions, and deterministic boot.
11.09 – Blumer Answers Global Regulation and Compliance with ProFi and Open Source as the Future
Brendan Blumer tweeted about programmable finance (ProFi). How is it related to DeFi? How is it different? If you’ve interacted with smart contracts and cross blockchain applications, then there’s a good chance that you already harbor an opinion ProFi. Chances are it’s a good one, especially if you’ve advanced your participation in such ecosystems. For those who are newer to the conversation, places like Newdex and Dappradar might help in realizing the value of ProFi. There you will find some cross-chain applications like between EOS-ETH-Tron. For more information, read Brendan’s highlights in article by CryptoGlobe where he proposes a ‘programmable’ [04:08-04:10] USD in discussing blockchain infrastructure back in 2019 at the 4th annual DC Blockchain Summit.

THIS WEEK’S DISCOVERIES
11.19 – Block. One Highlights EOSIO BaaS to Acceleration Business
Convenient, dynamic and robust, this is how EOSIO Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) benefits can be explained. One very powerful use case has been the successful launch of Blankos Block Party. While still in private beta, the Mythical development team calls EOSIO “integral” to its ventures. The team described it as redefining game economics, creating revenue opportunities, and empowering the community. Both players and content creatures have a deeply intimate connection with their virtual environments. Now, players can even contribute to the content creation. EOSIO brings a lot to the table. It helps new projects in some powerful ways. Both expanding upon available resources and liberating them from inefficiency can alone provide immense leverage not dared dreamt of before. EOSIO BaaS is marketed as a managerial, scaling, and security solution for blockchain applications. Some general advantages and features listed by Block.one include:
- reduces complexity
- minimizes costs
- enhances productivity
- speeds up blockchain adoption
- offloads backend operations
- working with an in-house team
EOSIO boasts the only in-house managed hosting solution whose network protocol is a pure blockchain solution. You can read the full press release via eos.io.
11.19 – EOS Go Looks Back on an Out-of-this-World 2020 for WAX (Part 1)
There’s always something going on over on that WAX.io chain. EOS and WAX dapps share parts of their ecosystems. This is why it’s nice to be able to quickly monitor major events. EOS Go put together some of the most notable recent events. Below is list from the first part of their review of a spectacular WAX2020:
- ATARI
- Tribal Books
- UpliftArt Series One
- Dark Country
- Alien Worlds
- Street Fighter NFT
11.19 – About Voice Content Deletion
Voice content is stored on (hashed) and off blockchain. When a writer chooses to delete a post (or comment), the blockchain remains unchanged. However, the “human-readable form” no longer exists in the feed and may have been removed from all digital records. Visit the link for more info about this process and/or to leave a comment for the author.
11.18 – Uplift.Art’s 13K First Day
NFTs. Enough said. Intellectual and creative property rights are among the most challenging issues facing Internet professionals. NFT provides some unique and very advantageous solutions. Take Uplift.Art for example. It combined charitable giving, proof of ownership, creator rewards and game theory into something that seems much more like fun than boring legal jargon that IP lawyers deal with. It did so all while raising $13,000 on its first day. TheMindSprint is what Uplift.Art has termed this venture. It gamifies digital art collecting in a creative new way. 11.17 – Amping Up Follows TSwaps 2.0 Launch: First NASDAQ, and Now pBTC
The popularity of Telos never seems to wane. In fact, the EOS offspring is often rather reserved. Even its loudest proponents have generally done so at a pleasing register. However, these past several days have been like a boom of sorts. Sure, the NASDAQ is not the DOW and pBTC isn’t Bitcoin Core, but from the vantage point of our high-rise crypto outlooks, it would be hard pressed to find a difference. As for specifics of what transpired, you can read about recent events on the Telos News page. There you will find data management for a revolutionary Weather Balloon Program, the pBTC bridge between TLOS and BTC, the Telos Swaps 2.0 launch, and more that occurred over the past 30 days.
11.17 – On the Horizon with Mobile Wallets
When it comes to onboarding those who harbor reservations about crypto, the technical aspects of mobile wallets can be off putting. That’s why when EOS Go commented on both the WAX.io cloud wallet on EOSIO and the mobile wallets impacted by eosfinex project, the community at large can expect greater things on the horizon. Girl Gone Crypto recently tweeted a brief video on hardware wallets (in case you wanted a refresher or gauge how new users might see cyrpto).
11.17 – Blankos Private Beta Reception

EOS Weekly: Spielworks, CryptoLocally, Fleets, Election, Casselle (11.21-27)
If this week seemed slow, keep in mind that for many, it’s an extended Thanksgiving weekend.
THIS WEEK’S DISCOVERIES
11.27 – B1 Pushes Beyond DeFi at Fintech Week
Block.one announced its participation in Fintech Week at The Working Capitol. The event will take place on December 7-11. Block.one has a virtual program planned. It will cover a variety of topics. Please also note the speech planned by Angus Maidment, Developer Relations Advocate, Block.one on the 6th.
11.25 – Wombat Creator Achieve Over 50% New User Conversion Rate
The creators of Wombat Wallet, Spielworks, have already made some incredible achievements. Wombat boasts about 30% of EOS wallet users. Now, the brilliant minds of CEO Adrian Krion and COO Alexander Heckel are gaining recognition for converting 50% of users. The idea is simple, help top games offer rewards in crypto. Their presentation is enticing enough to get new users to sign up for a wallet. This is one of the best, most needed use cases for crypto. Crypto proves value over and above the reward systems that exist today. Enabling these systems to realize their full potential could open up powerful opportunities. Given the often unpopular media attention that crypto attracts, something like this makes for exciting news.
11.24 – CryptoLocally Becomes Fully Decentralized
CryptoLocally, which was once EOSLocally, is now a fully decentralized exchange. It has taken the idea of peer-to-peer transactions to the marketplace level. It managed this with the launch of GIVernance. GIV token holders are at the helm of building the platform’s future. Such influence cannot be overstated. Distributed governance is what blockchain was meant to be, and without it, cryptocurrency transactions would have a limited future.
11.23 – Twitter Fleets Expects to Propel EOS
Twitter can sometimes be surprisingly pro crypto. Twitter Fleets promises to amplify this potential. EOS is among the top coins expecting to benefit from Fleets. An obvious reason as to why is the quality of the platform and it’s developer first attitude. Add to this a user-friendly environment with growing options, and it becomes a no-brainer that EOS is an exciting subject matter to discuss, even for the fiat community.
11.23 – Response to the Election Recorded on EOS/ETH
The first presidential election recorded on a blockchain was undoubtedly a big deal. Still, those familiar with ongoing events understood that this was an imperfect venture. It’s impact in 2020 was meant more for awareness than functionality. Not that there was anything wrong with the blockchain application. It’s just that infrastructure and on ramps to get the data from the voters onto the blockchain is not yet ideal. This is why questions are now being raised regarding the validity of the votes that were recorded. There’s no faulting either the EOS or Ethereum blockchains. What’s unfortunate is that the voters themselves were not tasked with making direct entries onto fully distributed ledgers. And now, it may take even longer for regulators to embrace distributed ledgers. Also, the next elections may employ a sort of pseudo-decentralized application. This will probably be a (slow) step in the right direction as voters begin to realize the advantages. At the end of the day, it’s about empowering voters and upholding funadamental principles of the election system.
11.19 – A joyful life is one spent seeing & remembering the best in people. @MalcolmCasSelle was charismatic & full of adventure, charming, funny + successful. He was the first hire & President of @WAX_io, our #1 Presidente de Wax, an Ultra Rare to all.Growing heart#waxcommunity @boxmining #BTC

Block.one recently released the details of how it distributes votes for block producers. There’s 85 million of previously latent EOS at stake. Aloha EOS provided a list of candidate votes and proxied accounts. This comes amidst long anticipation and heated debates. It’s a fulfillment of a promise made by the lead developer of the EOS public network. For a more in-depth discussion, visit a recent post by EOS Go.
WEEK OF NOVEMBER 28 THROUGH DECEMBER 04
12.03 – Details of EOSIO Premiere Technical Support by B1
- Building

- Operations
Blanco’s private beta is set to end soon (December 10th). With the opening of the public beta, founders packs will also soon be discontinued. All this comes as this new and exciting virtual world of playable NFTs surpasses 100,000 registered accounts. The community has quickly become one of the most exciting in all of crypto- and much thanks goes to building on EOSIO technology.
Block.one and The Working Capital host Fintech Week in Singapore on December 7-11. Below is a list of B1 speakers and general topics:
- Angus Maidment (relations) – Blockchain & EOSIO
- Lee Schneider (counsel) – areas of concern and future money

11.30 – BPs Recognized for Their NRM Feedback
Block.one recognized 39 BPs for their contributions in providing feedback for the new resource model. They were instrumental in helping advance the testing program. *This coincides with B1’s voting initiative.
11.27 – Wombat + Defis Network Strengthens the EOS Community
EOS Nation discussed an exciting new partnership between the Defis Network and Wombat. Both provide substantial lift in growing the EOS community. Wombat is a major reason why adoption is so strong. Defis Network is a leading innovator.
11.26 – EOS Gone from Binance P2P
The Binance Team announced that EOS trading will no longer be available on Binance P2P. All advertisements concerning EOS are to be removed as well. At the same time, DAI was added. The press release did not give a reason for this decision.

EOSweekly [12.05-11]: deadmau5, BOID, EOSfinex, bountyblok, Blankos, deWeb
EOSfinex Delivers More Leadership in DeFi and Interoperability
EOSfinex and pNetwork continue their work together to create EOS-ETH bridges. Using an EOS wallet, investors bring added liquidity to Ethereum. The most recently added include:
- $pUNI
- $pCOMP
- $pBAL
- $pBAND
- $pSNX
This community responded by bringing up comparisons with Polkdadot’s Equilibrium. Taken together, these two projects illustrate the advancement of the EOS Network. It demonstrates interoperability and the advantages it holds over other networks for DeFi. Furthermore, both interoperability and DeFi are deemed essentials for the future of blockchain overall. While few expect one blockchain to be the future of crypto, there are networks that will be instrumental in the smart economy. EOS consistent development is shaping up to be a bedrock of the crypto community. While it may not have the notoriety of other coins, it leads in functionality
On December 16th, Emanate will introduce deadmau5 NFTs. The dance music legend expects to impact more than just the price of Emanate. Deadmau5 popularity, as well as other celebrated musicians, are poised to close a rumble throughout the EOS network. The rush to acquire popular NFTs tends to obscure their technological potential. Emanate clearly demonstrates the power of NFT technology. It’s an EOS-based Audio Exchange Protocol. As the system deploys, it will create symbiotic relationships for music lovers, artists and record labels. Financial incentives exist for both artists and music lovers. Emanate Sal’s historically tough problems for the music industry while bringing artist ls and fans closer together.
BOID Leverages BlockBase to Develop Its Own NFTs-based Game
BOID quietly developed an engaging social platform where users’ interests are displayed. The app itself uses modest computer power to solve challenging research problems. Rewards for users are in mined BOID tokens that are automatically delivered to an EOS wallet. Just recently, BOID developed its own nfts. They were an instant hit. This came even though the details of their application was not widely known. Together with BlockBase, BOID announce a game based on their nfts. BlockBase is a key system for security and database storage that’s built on EOSIO. This announcement illustrates the highly adaptable nature of EOSIO technology. It’s a characteristic that’s essential for blockchain technology seeking to provide interoperability solutions that remain practical for a large number of users.
Blankos Open Beta and Discontinuing Founder’s Packs
Blankos continues to fuel excitement in the NFT space. The team released the Open Beta on December 10. Gameplay is fast with a myriad of options. It’s proving a lot of fun in surprising ways like stacking Blankos. There’s already a virtual space in honor of the game. Jardon Maroon live streamed some footage on opening day and MYSTIC7 shared a screenshot from Twitch. It might be too late to use Blankos Founders packs for the Private Beta, but a few are still available until the 13th (unfortunately the last 100 Boss Dino were sold out). After blowing by 100,000 registered users, the virtual world of user-created games is on target to reach 1 million. If successful, it’s thought that’s when thing will start becoming really special.
Fintech is one of the rapidly innovating industries. This is a characteristic that’s rarely challenged. For blockchain to come in and push digital transformations in Fintech says a whole lot. Block.one’s role is as a leader in accelerating the transformation. Businesses can turn to B1 for consultation in helping to identify areas where blockchain will best fit their organization. Then, experts can help in architecting a solution as well as with implementation. Below or a few highlights of B1 speaking engagements at Fintech Week:
Some of the takeaways pertaining to security is that it must evolve as blockchain’s applications do. This is why it’s important to keep an eye on trends. In terms of digital dilemmas, CBDCs and stablecoins are at the forefront of the future of money. As one might imagine, the blockchain is on the precipice of a great global economic transformation.
Celebrate the Holidays with bountyblok
The pandemic has forced non-technical interests to re-examine how they will use digital technologies. The power blockchain offers is becoming more apparent. Take bountyblok.io‘s APIs for example. It allows organizers to get more out of user-driven tasks. bountyblok tracks users progress and then returns reports that leverage gamification. This proves to increase motivation and engagement. Alongside WAX, bountyblok will be giving away Snow Globe NFTs. What a way to celebrate the holidays and remember them forever with blockchain.
It’s not often that hard work and gets recognized. Paying off is one thing, but having the power to impact change on a large scale is another. GenerEOS found recognition as it ascended to the top 21 block producers. The Aussie-based BP is respected among the inner circle of EOS’ community. The rewards return for producing blocks are donated back to charity. In fact, it is in charitable development where GenerEOS shines. BPs are supposed to be supportive of the overall community. This is a key aspect for the long-term health of the broader EOS economy. Some BPs have been earning rewards at the expense of the future. Organizing a solution has been challenging. The New Resource Model illustrates the importance. GenerEOS’ success demonstrates that great change is indeed possible.
deWeb Supports Gamers with a Tokenized Community
Gaming communities are among the most social that exist. However, veteran gamers that have become accustomed to digital assets know that these communities must be more elaborate than others. Furthermore, those gamers who’ve gotten a taste for crypto realize the potential in a token-based social platform. This is what deWeb (decentralized message boards) is about. Below you will see some of the core features of the newly released platform:
- Create can use your page or page token
- Post and share
- Comment and a quote
- Spend their rewards
When it comes to spending, users have a lot to look forward to like PCGAMER tokens. They’re always valued at one-to-one with the dollar. Cashing out is streamlined as well. Steam rewards have been implemented along with Deal Source. Amazon is in the planning stages as well. Leveraging EOS and being operated by EOS Nation seems certain to prove advantageous.
EOSweekly [12.12-18]: EOS Power Up, 2.1 RC, IoP, CBDC
The original EOS resource model worked, albeit with hiccups. Block.one recognized the potential of a new hybrid-fee model. Tabbed the EOS Power Up, users no longer need to worry about staking enough resources for their operational needs. Staking remains a worthwhile investment or can be used to offset transaction fees. The proposed model increases resource efficiency while easing the onboarding process. Users are now presented with two simple options:
- periodically power up operational capacity (CPU/NET) on a 24-hour basis
- stake EOS tokens to receive a share of (and offset) EOS Public Blockchain fees
To compliment the release notes, Block.one provided a summary and brief explainer video. TokenPocket also provided its own insight.
Why are both the underlying code of EOSIO 2.1 and the new “Power Up” resource model for the EOS public blockchain being released at the same time? In a word, nimbleness. Developers and users stand to benefit from both. There’s no backtracking here. It’s about streamlining performance and dynamic applications. The main goal is to make it easier for everyone to build on EOSIO. Here are the results:
- Improve data management for private blockchains
- Optimize storage
- Simplify tables
- Clustering options for administrators
- Update community requested functionality
From a technical standpoint, new features include:
- Increased flexibility in the Key Value API
- Direct processing via Action Return Values
- Administrative flexibility via RocksDB to offload work through Nodeos optimization
- Nodeos Failover options introduces node clustering for performance architecture
- Prune data designed as Context-Free (non-public network only)
- Nodeos Zipkin integration that aids administrator optimization efforts
- Fill-pg update in support of community feedback
There seems to be a tendency to fall into a fiat mindset when early blockchain development overemphasizes investor relationships. EOSIO’s developer-first focus keeps innovation an imperative. As one developer put it, it’s about ‘fixing pain points’.
CBDC Bridges, Flash Loans and BSN
Institutional impact seemed the overriding theme of Everything EOS this past week. CBDCs were vigorously discussed. While CBDCs are not very popular among crypto communities, there’s a likelihood that traditional banking and crypto will be closely connected (at least over the near term). The success of Ripple demonstrates the desire for banks to employ blockchain technology. Also on Everything EOS, Yves overviewed the Flash Loans portal currently being audited and the group discussed the partnershipr between Blockchain-based Service Network (BSN), dfuse and EOS Nation to strengthen the EOS mainnet over the long-term.
IoP, Supply Chains and EOS Bridge Creation
The headline links to a recent article by Finnextra examining blockchain’s acceleration of IoT payment channels. The emerging Internet of Payment (IoP) refers to financially ready devices. In replying to Serg Metelin’s comment about the EOSIO 2.1 RC, Scott Owen brings up the “vision of a network of data centres” (opposed to networking nodes). Here’s what he added to the conversation about a blockchain-based internet in a recent post: “Blockchain technology is questioning the architecture and design of the Internet itself”. The Blockchain Council also expressed a related sentiment as follows: “Although Blockchain is often compared with the internet in many of the cases, it proves better than it.”. Blockchain as a payment system is merely one application. It’s use cases for logistics and supply chains excite many investors. Payments directly connected to supply chains simply make sense!
The headline links to the top 100 BTC addresses as presented by bitinfocharts.com. Thought this might help when considering the comments made by ColinTalksCrypto and Christian Angermayer about Block.one’s increased stake in Bitcoin. Brendan Blumer described B1’s outlook as one that helps BTC transform into something more than a store of value. This is a subject matter that compelled me to reexamine the resilience of BTC earlier this week. If you’re still wondering about the relevancy of BTC for the EOS community, I encourage you to become familiar with mining pBTC using EOS mainet resources. Is a thriving EOS/BTC pair on the horizon?

Experts Discuss DeFi and the Future
Blockchain influencers provided insight into the impact that DeFi has already had and what it can mean for the future. While DeFi has stolen the majority of recent crypto headlines, it’s been influential for a few years. Experienced crypto investors are familiar with MakerDAO, Compound Finance and Uniswap. Each one of these projects rocked the industry in their own right. DeFi’s rapid growth isn’t expected to slow any time soon. It’s capacity for meeting the needs of 1.7 billion people who don’t have access to banking is simply too important. More than this, DeFi is an aspect of what Blumer has termed Programmable Finance (ProFi). Crypto makes so much available. It’s causing even the most influential organizations to rethink their fundamental concepts about the economy.
Interconnecting Blockchain Assets with the pNetwork
When it comes to creating bridges, pNetwork is right there at the top. New connections made by pTokens seem to emerge by the day. Bitcoin, Ethereum, EOS, Litecoin, and Telos are all powerful chains with supported pTokens assets. For dapp users, this means that their preferences no longer limit their investments. Users can hold cross chain assets while remaining on a preferred blockchain. As one might imagine, the pNetwork is a game changer. It’s so impactful that developers may even wish to rethink aspects of current projects. A network of blockchains that underlies the Internet seems to be a foregone conclusion. The success of pTokens has brought that day much closer.
B1 Helps CoinDCX Make Crypo Available for Indian Citizens
Block.one played a crucial role in aiding Indian exchange CoinDCX amass over $13 million in Series B funding. It’s a targeted move supported by recent events. COVID-19 has been a universally motivating factor. Its occurrence accelerated crypto adoption in several areas. The pandemic may even be behind, or at least a factor in, the easing of crypto policy in India. Without friendly regulation, it’s unlikely that CoinDCX would be as successful as it has been. CoinDCX is important for Block.one and the EOS community because it provides a fiat on-ramp for Indian citizens.
PCGAMER.BUZZ Supports the Best Aspects of the Gaming Community
The gaming industry has arguably as much claim to the motivation behind crypto for digital assets as any other industry. Most non-gamers consider Fintech as the most logical influencer. However, the gaming community has a well established gray market for digital assets. The value of gaming assets is based on the time players spend to acquire them. Crypto provides a place where gaming assets can be traded with official support from title companies. Discussion boards are integral to both gameplay learning and the negotiations around assets. PCGAMER.BUZZ is seen as a better option than Reddit. It maintains the high quality organization that made Reddit great while simultaneously allowing for financial incentives. Blumer Highlights Key Issues Behind Crypto
CoinDCX retweeted comments made by Brendan Blumer about the importance of “making cryptocurrencies accessible to everyone”. In another tweet, Blumer outlined the issues shaping fiat and crypto markets. Among the key areas to watch for include:
- actions taken by banks
- new policies
- infrastructure developments
- asset protection
- innovation
Errored judgment by some leaders in banking and limited scope policies staunch innovation for traditional markets. As crypto becomes more viable and developers flock to see what’s possible, a sort of tug of war is developing between crypto and traditional markets. The importance of innovation in an increasingly digital world cannot be overstated. Artificial intelligence alone is reason enough to prioritize new developments. Blumer discussed how all these things interrelate and what they mean for the average person and the future of the world.
VIDEO: Bart Wyatt and Greg Lee Discuss Business and Blockchain
Block.one tweeted about a Fintech Week topic covered VPs Bart Wyatt and Greg Lee. Fundamental aspects of blockchain applicable to today’s marketplace were critically examined. The overriding objective is to help accelerate enterprise blockchain adoption. In support of blockchain critical issues, B1 developed a set of EOSIO Training & Certification courses. They cater to the needs of both novice crypto users and more experienced developers. Over 3,900 users have already signed up. These courses also impact Ethereum developers planning to leverage EOSIO.
Additional Topics from this Week’s Hot Sauce #86
This past week’s EOSNation Hot Sauce #86 also discussed the following topics not covered here:
- Vaults and Flash Loans
- Chintai real estate
- NFT release calendar
Vaults and Flash Loans bring new options for EOS users. Chintai made substantial advancement by making their generalized security token available for real estate applications. In its basic form, a Chintai real estate solution automates regulatory compliance and introduces new partnerships to the industry. EOS Nation now has an NFT release calendar. The NFT market is arguably growing faster than any other aspect of the Fintech industry. Keeping track of when new NFT auctions are scheduled is a challenge for most investors. Additionally, a timely release calendar enables investors to pursue the projects they find most enticing while appropriately dedicating resources.

BlockVault: An End to Missed Blocks on EOSIO
Scott Owen examined BlockVault (node clustering), a key aspect of the EOSIO 2.1 release candidate. Owen overviews and highlights developer Q&A about the benefits of BlockVault within two articles. In Part 1, he presents an initial review. Part 2 looks at horizontal scaling and goes into specifics such as issues encountered during node failure and the corresponding missed blocs. BlockVault advances fundamental aspects of EOSIO. Benefits exist for both public and private implementations. While it may take a developer to fully appreciate BlockVault, below are some key features compiled from Owen’s two articles that average users can understand:
- uses clustering to allow multiple nodes to produce at the same time
- the faster node wins
- an end to miss blocks
- it’s about flexibility
- industry standard availability
- disaster recovery efforts
- nodes remain fully featured
- immediate (.5 second) finality for enterprise solutions that mitigate single point of failure

Webinar on Building a Full-stack Web Application on EOSIO
EOSIO is the future of web apps. The linked webinar takes the viewer through the various components, libraries and tools for building a full-stack application. It’s 60 minutes in duration. Leading the demo is the Developer Relations Advocate at Block.one, Luis Paris. EOSIO is about advancing web apps for use with blockchain networks. At the moment, it’s not often that a user would describe a blockchain-based app as responsive. B1 is changing this. Among the technology covered in the webinar were:
- Nodeos Architecture
- RPC API
- EOSJS
- Reading Blockchain State
- Sending Transactions
GenerEOS (AMA) Spotlight Series P2: Excitement over Voting Portal
Making it to the top 21 BP list didn’t slow down GenerEOS. It’s most recent GenPool spotlight advanced a previous joint AMA with the DeFis Network team. The GenerEOS team answered questions via telegram. GenerEOS members attending the meeting included Ralf Weinand, Tim Weston, and Datajunky. The AMA opened with some background about individual team members. One of the most interesting questions asked by Opa of Defis Network was:
…What was the most exciting project you have worked on in the EOS space?
Tim fielded the question:
…I would have to say it was our open-source exchange voting tool developed alongside EOSRIO, ShEOS, and EOS Node One. …an open-sourced product with the aim of democratizing and streamlining the exchange voting process. …an end-to-end voting framework that any exchange can utilize with minimal integration efforts, and offer their users the ability to participate in the EOS block producer voting process. …

How a Diligent Member of the EOS Community Unveiled a B1 Shareholder
Secrecy and the blockchain industry often go hand-in-hand. For any given situation, there’s likely more than one reason as to why one wishes to remain anonymous. Privacy remains as critical an issue as it has ever been. There’s also concern over those harboring malicious intent as well as large organizations and government surveillance. B1’s efforts to work diligently in the background is generally well acceptable due to the developer’s string of successful open source deployments. However, unveiling a shareholder might have unforeseen impacts. The EOS community finds itself in this situation just as 2020 comes to an end. For better or worse, it was a member of EOS Korea who made cunning use of a popularly circulating tweet to unveil the B1 shareholder. Here’s the original link.
Ultra and Elrond Interoperability Expects to Boost NFT / DeFi
Consider what the following three facts having common:
- $13 billion dollars total value locked (TVL) in DeFi products
- over $100 million dollar valued non-fungible token (NFT) market
- gaming industry worth more than $170 billion dollars
What happens when the gaming world collides with a very young DeFi market and the excitement surrounding NFTs? Ultra and Elrond are about to find out. Elrond will provide the DeFi side. While Ultra maintains an NFT network. A key asset will be Ultra’s eGold and how it’s used. NFTs can be tied to DeFi in a variety of ways. Already in the works are stable coins and collateralized debt. It doesn’t take much to get involved in NFTs or DeFi for that matter. Benefiting from these markets is often relatively easy to learn but hard to conceive for those with no experience. The potential for DeFi and NFTs to radically reshape how assets move on the Internet is more apparent to active users.
Uplift.Art Ends 2020 with an Exciting Project Review
Uplift.Art connects artists with blockchain and charitable projects. It gained a 501c3 non-profit status in the US. The team’s experience extends beyond blockchain. Substantial preparation preceded the nonprofit status as well as networking with individuals in traditional and blockchain markets. This type of networking assisted Uplift.Art’s efforts to put video on blockchain. Uplift.Art creates fair solutions for artists, charities and collectors. The platform verifies artists and their content to help ensure long-term value. Maybe the most powerful aspect is in finally getting artists their fair share while simultaneous taking control of a refreshing medium for their audience. Philanthropy is bolstered as well. Funding projects are better targeted and more visible by the right community. Through Uplift Nation, donations reach across blockchains like EOS, WAX, TELOS, BEOS, Bitshares, and UX. Donated funds are set aside for development.
